Football is slowly resuming its rights in Italy, where the players are tested before resuming individual training with their clubs. On the side of AC Milan, the president of the Associazione Calcio has made some confidences on the airwaves of Rai Uno.
Paolo Scaroni notably mentioned the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Milan. The Milanese leader confirmed that “Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to Italy on Monday”. After a last contact with the rossonero manager on Friday, the Swede has booked a Stockholm-Milan flight.
The Swedish striker will observe a period of fourteen days of confinement at home, then undergo a medical check before training at Milanello.
As a reminder, the future of the 38-year-old striker is in abeyance. At the end of the contract in June, he has an option to extend for a year with Milan. As he has been training for the past few weeks with the Swedish club Hammarby, he said: “I have a contract with Milan at the moment so we have to see how things end there, if they end elsewhere. There is no official decision for the moment. I always said that I wanted to play as long as possible but I want to bring something to the team, not just be a guy who plays because I am who I am. If I belong to a team, I have to be efficient so we will see.”
