The spokesman for Osinbajo asked the public to ‘ignore’ claims made by a ‘Osinbajo Think Tank’ group.

According to TheGuardian Nigerian Newspaper, One Olugbenga Olaoye, a co-founder of the Osinbajo Think Tank, on a television interview, earlier this week mentioned Buhari and Tinubu’s health as one of the reasons to vote for Osinbajo in the 2023 presidential elections.

Olaoye portrayed Osinbajo’s fight with Tinubu as a battle of the “masses vs the bourgeois,” stressing that the vice president is the Nigerians’ choice.

He also claimed that Buhari is the weak link in Nigeria’s economic management.

“It is possible you have a quartet in a relay race. You could have a weak first, second, third leg and have a strong final leg,” Olaoye said

“This is what Vice President Oluyemi Osinbajo represent. We believe strongly that if given the power as C-in-C, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he would take us from this doldrum and get Nigeria to the promise land.”

“We all know what happened to President Muhammadu Buhari at the inception of his administration,”

“He spent a lot of period out of Nigeria because of his ill-health.”
