As he continues to follow in his father’s footsteps with Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr celebrates with his father’s legendary ‘Siuuu’ goal celebration.
Connectley Naija News recalls that Ronaldo Jr. signed with United’s junior academy in February after his father returned to Old Trafford last summer. Since then, admirers have been following the 11-year-progress old’s closely.
Videos of the toddler doing all of the routines have already proven that he appears to be following in his father’s footsteps. Ronaldo Jr.’s characteristic stepovers and long-range shots showed how much he resembles his father.
And, while playing for United’s Under-12s team this week, he displayed yet another proof of his father’s class by performing his father’s trademark celebration.
As United’s U12s faced EF Girones Sabat, there was the usual sight of a Ronaldo on the score sheet. The Reds breezed over the Spaniards, with Ronaldo Jr scoring their fifth goal of the match.
You could have easily mistaken him for his father as he sprinted towards the corner flag in jubilation. The 11-year-old made his way to the pitch’s corner before leaping into the air and doing the iconic Ronaldo spin, complete with the obligatory ‘siuuu’.
United supporters will be hoping to see Ronaldo Jr. imitate the celebration for the club’s first team in a few years.
While Ronaldo Sr.’s contract at Old Trafford is valid until next year, his future has been questioned, which could have an impact on his son’s whereabouts.
