The coach of Tottenham, José Mourinho, has surprised, in a dialogue with ‘Live Score’ published on the website of various newspapers, such as ‘Tuttosport’ or ‘Olé’, when choosing the best of all time.
Asked if he stayed with Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho assures that he would stay with another player.
The Portuguese coach was clear and surprising regarding his preferences: “Ronaldo, the phenomenon. Cristiano and Leo Messi had longer races, they stayed on top every day for 15 years. But if we talk strictly about talent and ability, nobody beats the Brazilian.”
And, having worked daily with the Brazilian, he relates that “when I was in Barcelona with Bobby Robson, I realized that he was the best player I had ever seen in my life.”
He also considers that, without injuries, the Brazilian Ronaldo would have marked an era: “The injuries killed a career that could have been even more incredible, but the talent that the 19-year-old had was something incredible.”
