Unlike its French neighbor, England has not said goodbye to its football season, suspended since March 13 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, if Project Restart appeared to have been approved by all Premier League residents at first, eight clubs would now oppose it, in particular because of the probability of playing matches on neutral ground. They are therefore still far from a return from the English Championship, but in the meantime, the broadcasters are already preparing the ground.
And as we learned from The Times on Tuesday morning, some matches from the end of the Premier League could be broadcast on the YouTube channels of Sky and BT Sport, PL broadcasters in England.
A hypothesis that is gaining momentum as matches are played behind closed doors. This would therefore not exclude fans who could not afford a subscription to the broadcasters of the Championship. The British daily adds that Amazon Prime Video, which was supposed to broadcast a few meetings initially, could also broadcast them on its Streaming platform. Since 1992, only two meetings have been broadcast in the clear on the other side of the Channel. It was during the 1st day of the 2013-2014 season (Manchester United Swansea and Crystal Palace-Arsenal).
