Cagliari took radical action against racism. The Sardinian club, Cagliari announced in a statement this Friday that it has banned three supporters from its stadium for life.
This follows racist insults and shouts in recent months at the Sardegna Arena towards opposing players.
The club added that, the identification of the three individuals was made possible thanks to “the coordination of stewards and security and those responsible for the club’s internal security”.
The last case of racism in Cagliari dates back to the beginning of September, when Inter was received. Romelu Lukaku had been targeted by local supporters. Last season, Moise Kean and Blaise Matuidi were also victims of racist screams on the Cagliari field.
