If Paris SG managed to extend Kylian Mbappé, the value of the French striker would reach new heights, ensures a new study by CIES.

One of the fantasies that arouse the curiosity of football fans is the value of the players, a skilful cocktail combining contract duration, sports performance, age and many other parameters. The Football Observatory of the Center International d’Etude du Sport de Neuchâtel in Switzerland understands this and its algorithm regularly tries to detect trends in this area.
According to its last weekly letter published, Paris SG would also have every interest in continuing its efforts to extend the contract of Kylian Mbappé (21), author of 18 goals in 21 matches in Ligue 1 this season. The 2018 world champion, currently under contract until June 2022, is today valued at € 242.3 million.
Mbappé could be worth € 281.7 million
If he were to extend his one-year lease with the club in the capital, the three-color international (34 selections, 13 achievements), already considered the most expensive in the world, would see its value skyrocket. This would drop to € 281.7 million, an increase of almost € 40 million! Enough to mark the blow on the transfer market, while Real Madrid is still announced on its tracks. The value of Neymar (28 years old) would increase by around € 16 million, rising to € 85.7 million in the event of a one-year extension, estimates the CIES.
Jadon Sancho (20 years old), estimated to date at € 180.4 million, would pass him the € 200 million mark (€ 222 million according to CIES) if he extended a year with Borussia Dortmund.
