Police arrests suspected shooter of rapper Lil Tjay

As a result of Lil Tjay’s shooting, police have detained three men, one of whom they believe to be the trigger man.

According to a press release from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Lil Tjay and two other men who were accompanying the rapper were targets of a failed armed robbery attempt by Mohamed Konate.

Police claimed that Konate shot Tjay several times and also wounded one of the rapper’s associates.

Three counts of attempted first-degree murder have been brought against Konate.

The two men who were accompanying Tjay were also detained for unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree.
