Robinson always praised the Barça Striker and assured that “Messi is far above any other footballer that I have seen. He is even better than Maradona. Diego had three magnificent seasons. He made Naples and Argentina a champion, but Leo Messi does every season since his debut. Cristiano Ronaldo is unlucky to live in a stage in which Messi reigns. We are facing something unique.”

Along with Messi’s words, there have also been many signs of affection both for Barcelona and for a large part of football and society.

Thank you for sharing with us your vision of soccer and your way of being, sensitivity and intelligence. Rest in peace, Michael Robinson.”
