The Kwara State House of Assembly, has set up an adhoc committee to investigate the alleged monthly diversion of N300 from the Local Government funds.
It would be recalled that the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to conduct an independent probe into funds so far received and disbursed to the 16 local government areas between May 2019 and June 2020.
Fresh Insight reported that the House earlier today, with the intent of getting to the root of the matter have however waded in, by setting up an investigation committee to unravel the allegations.
