Air Peace Limited has begun daily flight operations from Lagos to Ilorin and Ilorin to Abuja.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the airline revealed that the inaugural P47110 flight from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos landed at the Ilorin International Airport by 11 am.
The airline said the Ilorin flight was part of its expansion drive and realisation of its no-city-level-behind policy to connect major cities in Nigeria.
The Safety Manager for Air Peace Limited, representing the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of the airline, Allen Onyema, said the Ilorin flights signified the provision of more network options and connectivity for the people in the Middle Belt region.
The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, represented by the Deputy Governor, Kayode Alabi, and National President of the Ilorin Emirates Descendants Progressive Union, Alhaji Ota Uthman, were among those present to welcome the flight.
Recall that the airline recently announced the arrival of two E195-E2 Embraer aircraft and a third aircraft which expected before the end of this month.
