UEFA Champions League was back to action again this evening, for the first leg of Champions League Quarter-final. Manchester City hosted Borussia Dortmund at Etihad and Real Madrid welcomed Liverpool, Connectley News Reports.
But for the Citizens match, Kelvin De Bruyne nailed a record against Borussia Dortmund.
City took the lead at 18 minutes of the match against Borussia Dortmund, in their first leg for the Champions League quarterfinals, through Kevin De Bruyne, who ended with his goal a play that he himself had started after intercept a pass at the exit of the German team.
With this goal, the Belgian player reaches a great personal record in his matches against Borussia Dortmund.
In his last four games against Dortmund, De Bruyne was directly involved with at least one of the goals scored by his team – Either Score by him or Assist.
The record comes from the Belgian player’s when he was in Wolfsburg, a team that defeated Dortmund in the 2014-15 German Cup final, precisely with a goal from De Bruyne. He then gave an assist in a matchup in the Bundesliga, another goal in the Bundesliga, and the forth one is his recent goal against Dortmund in the Champions League.
