JO: the draw for the football tournament postponed

The coronavirus epidemic is forcing the world of sport to adapt. Several major competitions have already been postponed. For football, most of the European championships have been suspended as have the Champions League and the Europa League.

UEFA has also decided to postpone Euro 2020 until next year. Regarding the Olympic Games (scheduled from July 24 to August 9), no official decision has been taken, but a postponement is more than possible.

According to information from the Team , the draw for the soccer tournament which was to take place on April 18 in Japan has been postponed to a later date.

The latter could be held in Zurich at FIFA headquarters without the presence of delegations. As a reminder, only those qualified in the CONCACAF zone are missing. These were to be designated at a tournament scheduled to start on Friday, but the tournament was suspended.
