Long announced at the start, the French midfielder still pleases Inter as much. Inter Milan have also formulated a tempting proposition, but the Blues pushed them away.
29 years of age and under contract with Chelsea until 2023, N’Golo Kanté seemed to see the wind turn before the summer.
Undermined by repeated injuries last season, the tricolor world champion was one of the players regularly announced starters. The reason? The Blues want to be ambitious for their transfer window, but must sell to restore a certain financial balance. So that’s when the name Kanté came out of the hat.
Very quickly, the word spread and the courtiers came back. Paris Sain-Germain and Real Madrid, to name a few.
But today, it is Inter Milan who is showing the most pressing. N’Golo Kanté may well have made it known that he did not want to pack up, the Nerazzurri continue to think about the proposal that will make the Blues falter.
Rather sell Jorginho than Kanté
And unsurprisingly, the Lombard club, whose finances do not allow it to pull out a big check, has opted for the “player exchanges” deal.
The Daily Mail indicates that Inter Milan has offered the English club Christian Eriksen. And Marcelo Brozovic, as exchange for Kanté’s deal. An offer which confirms that Inter are already ready to get rid of Eriksen who arrived only last winter.
Eriksen, Brozovic is part, with Skriniar, of the elements that Inter seeks to sell to advance in their transfer window.
This morning, the Gazzetta dello Sport spoke again of AS Monaco’s interest in the Croatian midfielder. Unfortunately for Inter Milan, this proposal was brushed aside by Londoners. It is also rumored that Frank Lampard would no longer wish to sell Kanté, but rather Jorginho.
To be continued…
