Atiku Abubakar will contest 2023 Presidency

In the fight for the Peoples Democratic Party‘s presidential ticket, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri claims Mohammed Hayatu-Deen stood down for Atiku Abubakar.

Hayatu-Deen, one of the presidential candidates, has declared his withdrawal from the contest, alleging the monetization of the process.

He did not disclose whether he would be supporting another candidate.

“Hayatu-Deen has stepped down for him (Atiku),” Fintiri told Channels Television on the premises of the PDP’s National Convention in Abuja on Saturday.

“I think he has stepped down for him. He has instructed his delegates to vote for Atiku.”

The governor of Adamawa expressed hope that the former Vice President would be the PDP’s presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
