FC Barcelona and Juventus prepare a funny transfer exchange

The Catalan press reveals that Juventus and FC Barcelona are working on an exchange that would take Arthur Melo to Turin.

This is information that surprises everyone in Spain, and especially in Barcelona. For several days now, various European media have been talking about a possible departure of Arthur Melo, who would have been put up for sale by FC Barcelona, while the Brazilian was clearly not one of the main candidates for a departure this summer.

We were actually talking about Ivan Rakitic or Arturo Vidal as players whom the club wanted to get rid of in the middle, which could also be used as currency in various operations, such as that leading to Lautaro Martinez.

But it is indeed the Brazilian who could be pushed towards the exit. As Mundo Deportivo explains, the 23-year-old has a lot of contenders across Europe, and if the interests of Tottenham and Inter had already gone out in recent days, now Juventus would have entered the race. And the Turinese have, according to the newspaper, solid arguments to convince the Barcelonians. The media is already talking about an XXL operation with several Juventus players in the operation, and Josep Maria Bartomeu and his teams would be very receptive.

Arthur doesn’t want to leave

Miralem Pjanic is one of them, but if there is one player who really likes Camp Nou, it’s Rodrigo Bentancur, the 22-year-old Uruguayan midfielder, especially because of his youth. In other sectors, Federico Bernardeschi, whose name had already returned last summer, still appeals to Barça, while Mattia de Sciglio is also a player considered attractive by Catalan decision-makers.

If the future of Samuel Umtiti is still uncertain, the Catalans could also take the opportunity to draw a central defender in Turin. Matthijs de Ligt is still the big dream of Barça, while Merih Demiral and Daniele Rugani are also very appreciated by the reigning Spanish champion.

For its part, the main concerned has informed its leaders that it does not intend to leave, regardless of the club interested in its services. He would also be following an intensive training plan to regain his best physical level and leave aside the few glitches that have sometimes slowed him down since his arrival two years ago. But FC Barcelona needs cash or players to exchange if it wishes to carry out the transfer of Lautaro Martinez, among others…
