Chelsea are determined to recruit the new German prodigy Kai Havertz, having already drawn Timo Werner into their nets.
Chelsea often drew in the French championship during the years 2000 and 2010, but for two years, it is in the Bundesliga that the Blues invest heavily.
There was for example Christian Pulisic, recruited at Borussia Dortmund in January 2019 and arrived the following summer, and more recently Timo Werner, chiped at RB Leipzig despite fierce competition.
And the London club does not intend to stop there. Another element of the Bundesliga particularly appeals to him. It is Kai Havertz, the versatile midfielder of Leverkusen, capable of playing relay, playmaker, winger and even center forward.
At 21, he is clearly one of the most exciting players in the German championship, and arouses the lust of Bayern Munich or even Liverpool.Chelsea wants to double competition
According to the Daily Telegraph, Chelsea decided to take action for the German international, estimated at € 100 million by Bayer Leverkusen. Linked until 2022, Havertz is well on its way to becoming one of the soap operas of the summer.
A priori, Bayern could depart from the race after recruiting Leroy Sané. At least, that was the speech made by the sports management.
Chelsea, for its part, seems determined to offer a 5-star transfer window, after having already formalized the transfers of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. Two weeks ago, Frank Lampard said he had not made an offer, but Chelsea’s interest became clearer every day.
Havertz will he be tempted by the challenge proposed by the Blues in reconquest?
