Senator Bukola Saraki, a former Senate President and presidential aspirant on the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) platform, has promised to remove insecurity in Plateau State and across Nigeria if elected President of Nigeria in 2023.
On Monday, the former Nigerian Senate President made the commitment while interacting with PDP delegates and leaders in Jos, Plateau State’s capital.
He said: “The people of Plateau State have experienced the insecurity in Nigeria firsthand. Many of them have lost close relatives. Many of them have suffered the loss of their property.
“This is why, yesterday, in my meetings with PDP delegates and leaders in Jos, the Plateau State capital, I emphasized that with their support for my presidential aspirations, we will work to end the insecurity and loss of lives and property in both Plateau State, and across the nation.
“This is because we will hold people accountable for their actions. We will deploy the use of modern-day technology to curb incidents of violence and terrorism. Additionally, we will ensure that our communities are safer by reviewing our national security architecture.”
